Startup Sioux Falls offers workspace, programming to support local entrepreneurs
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Becoming an entrepreneur can be risky, and working from home as a remote worker can be lonely. That’s where Startup Sioux Falls comes in.
Startup Sioux Falls offers resources and programming to help support local entrepreneurs, remote workers, and more.
“People come here for different reasons, some of them it’s they want the community they don’t have an office space, maybe they were previously working from home but home is not as productive as they want it to be. Maybe they have some kids or it’s a little noisy or the space just isn’t as comfortable so some people will come in here for that kind of comfortable working space,” said Henry Sule, Community Coordinator for Startup Sioux Falls.
Once a month Startup Sioux Falls hosts Startup Sunrise, a monthly gathering of founders and innovators.
“We bring in different founders from a specific industry to talk about their journey where they started, where they’re at, what’s going good, and what’s not going good,” said Adyn Heinricy, Program Coordinator for Startup Sioux Falls.
Starting Wednesday, January 15th Startup Sioux Falls will be offering free co-working space for remote workers and entrepreneurs on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
“So we have a hot desk which is basically if you want a space to work in 8 to 5, we also offer options 5 to 11 so after or before working hours if you’re kind of someone who has a full-time job and you want to do something on the side after, we also have dedicated desk options if you’re looking more for an option where you want your own specific space,” said Sule.
“Being an entrepreneur is always a risk, so by having this community it feels less risky because there are other people doing the same thing as you so you can connect with other like-minded individuals and just kind of bounce ideas off of members, we love to sit down and talk with members and see what we can offer them as far as resources and support,” said Heinricy.
