A dynamic event designed for 4 startup tech companies and 4 traditional business companies ready to showcase their innovative ideas and compete for a $5,000 cash prize in each category.

Up to 100 attendees will witness these companies pitch their businesses, all with the goal of preparing for the Governor's Giant Vision Grant Competition in February, where they will compete for up to $20,000. 

The Schedule

5:00 – 5:25 PM: Happy Half-hour with networking and appetizers

5:25 – 5:30: Welcome and recognition of recent CO.STARTERS graduates

5:30 – 6:30: Pitch Competition Part 1 - Technology

6:30 – 6:45: Break

6:45 – 7:45: Pitch Competition Part 2 - Regional Business

7:45 – 8:00: Voting and judges deliberation

8:00 – 8:10: Winner announcement/Closing Remarks

8:10 – 8:30 PM: Networking/Social Wrap-up

Technology Track: Featuring scalable startups in Software, Biotech, AgTech, FinTech, etc.

Business Track: Showcasing traditional growth retail and service-based enterprises.

Eligibility to Apply

  • Under 3 years in business
  • Engaged with Startup Sioux Falls in the last 12 months
  • Must apply for Governor’s Giant Vision Competition
  • Have not previously competed in Governor's Giant Vision

Prizes

  • 1st Place in each track: $5,000
  • 2nd-4th Place: $250-$750 prizes based on merit

  1. Express Interest: Submit basic info.
  2. Full Application: Complete the second stage with details about your pitch.
  3. Final Selection: Submit your final 10-slide pitch deck, attend a Zoom call with top applicants, and make it to the final round!
