Join us for our Women In Networking (WIN) Luncheon on March 25, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Al’s Oasis!

Check-in and early networking begins at 11:00 am. We’ll kick off the luncheon with our 30 second speed networking, followed by Al’s Oasis extensive salad bar for lunch. After lunch we will hear from our spotlight speaker, Jona Ohm.

Running a business is tough, whether you have a team or you do all the jobs. It’s difficult to stay on top of everything and even more difficult to sit down and plan for the future.

Just like spring cleaning for your home, an annual “retreat week” can help you make time work on the business so you can work in the business. Jona’s outline will help you identify the right time, develop a useful schedule and manage the daily tasks that never seem to stop.

Middle America Communication Solutions (MACS) was established by Jona Ohm in 2021 to meet the writing, marketing and public relations needs of authors and business owners.

Jona began her career in journalism and has spent more than 20 years working with a wide variety of communications, writing, fundraising and marketing. The bulk of her career has been spent in marketing and fundraising in the nonprofit world. In 2014, she branched out into public relations, earning her accreditation (APR) in 2018. She also served as the Communications Director for a state agency. She is now focused on serving clients with her editing, communications and public relations skills.

Jona earned her bachelor’s degree at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and her master’s degree at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia.

Come around 11 a.m. and bring business cards or handouts to place at each table setting (Approx. 30).

Bring a door prize! Door prizes are an excellent way to get the word out about your services. Bring an item with your logo or offer a discount. You can also bring a prize to give away simply for fun.

We recommend prizes valued between $15-$50. Bringing a door prize or handouts is optional.

Women In Networking (WIN) is an organization under the SD CEO Women’s Business Center for women in business that provides an opportunity to widen their professional networks, promote their business or organization, and network with other women. WIN connects women, familiarizes participants with other businesses and/or upcoming events, and supports the SD CEO Women’s Business Center.
